Good find, I am not big fan of the current Tenere and even less of a fan of the concept but I have to say I loved that video and I want that music.

I got the mail from Yamaha too, what a waste of time. I want some solid facts about the bike, not some floaty advertising crap.

Just goes to how .... people are different. I loved the music and the video, with it's evocation of the people, the land and the adventure. I loved also the look of the tenere itself, photoshop lash-up or not, and will buy one if it end up looking at all like that. I found the whole thing inspirational and, personally, couldn't care less about the technical specs.
Whereas .... that video on another thread of a metal helmet being computer lathed or whatever .... now that is BORING!! Guess I'm a people and places with imagiation person, rather than an engineering type. Reminds me of the film 'Dead Poets Society' ... ' Engineering, Medicine, Mathmatics .... noble pursuits, necessary for the sustenance of life' ... ' but love, poetry, beauty, these ARE WHAT WE STAY ALIVE FOR' !!! Maybe too philosophical for early sat morning!! Too much time on my hands, clearly. |

C'mon Yamaha, give us the facts and pics! We're tired of waitin' and all these photoshops are indeed gettin' pretty boring! For the time being all we can do is wait and relax and enjoy our trusty XT660's and don't mind all the different opinions. As y'all know, opinions are like *******s, everyone's got one!
They just released the first pics of the FZ8, so hopefully the Super Tenere will follow soon. Greetz, Hans.

Hey common guys, what are they advertising here...is this a add for the Dakar itself or was that for the Sup Ten??..too much Dakar related clips and photo's, did not fit with Sup Ten at all...and pretty ironic to use so much of the Dakar background with the race so restricted to smaller capacities....Whip that Yamaha dealer who send this to any current or future Ten owner....

I'm with Loopydog, I think it is good advertising and it makes you want to get out riding. Thats what I want out of a bike, the feeling of wanting to see the world on it.
Just like the Long way down made made me want a BMWgsa, seeing the super Ten in those surroundings is very seductive!!! |
