Headlight bulbs

Hi all.

Has anyone fitted brighter headlight bulbs (ie. Xenon ones)?

If so, did they make a difference?

Cheers,

Pingu.

I have tried one from Halford, the xenon type, yes they are brighter but remember not to exceed the watt's too much or you might risk melting the plastic lens.

Greetings.... I got my nice Yamaha man to fit one whilst in for some recent work ... a nice bright blue one.... as the good o'l Capt says don't exceed the watts to much. The standard is an H4 with at 60/55 watts.

I put a Halfords Ultra Blue 100/85W and it is much brighter and the blue is more visible to other motorists (I think). I read somewhere else that it was ok to use a the 100/85, no probs so far?!
I think one of the guys on the ride-out last Sunday had one, was it Fosters Monster?
