Refurbishing standard downpipes

My standard down pipes are a bit corroded, and I would like to sort this out.

Any tips on what works well/looks good - I don't really want to use a black heat resitant paint and I reckon silver would look naff too. These XT's seem keen to rust so there must be a wealth of knowlwdge out there.

Cheers

Steel wool, a bottle of Harpic concentrated (yup the toilet stuff) and plenty elbow action, damp the downpipe with H2o apply the harpic stuff and get scrabbing.

You can use autosol but will probably end up with a whiteness to the parts which were corroded which is what happened to mine, although all the rusty bits were removed. This weekend I'm going to try scrubbing the pipes with WD40/GT80 and see if that removes the whiteness.

Hope this helps.

This will do the trick, I has used similar coatings on a 4in1 exhaust in the past.
