I've left Morocco and am now in Spain but have a new problem in that the bike is hunting at a constant throttle opening. I have the Kev fuel mod so tried adjusting the settings either way to see if that made any difference, but it didn't.

If I open the throttle the response is fine and overall performance feels about the same.

Any quick suggestions?

Along with the usual chain tightness i would look at the cush driver rubbers as i got a similar feeling when my R's cush drives where quiet loose.

very dirty air filter ??

It started all of a sudden but I've gone through four tanks of fuel since. O2 sensor is still connected. The air filter looks OK but will check further.

and you have no CAT if remember correctly.........meow

Not to worried about the cat, more worried about the O2 sensor being covered in lead & sending false readings to the ECU.

If you have been using leaded fuel unplug the O2 sensor & let us know if it makes any difference.

Sounds exactly like cush drive rubbers or a tight spot in the chain/chain tension. I had this quite badly on my first chain, made a world of difference when I had it replaced and the cush rubbers changed. Was only noticable on constant throttle, everything was fine if you were accelerating or decelerating.

Just a thought but have you fitted an inline fuel filter ?

just check it is flowing through in the right direction !

happened to me on a ccm and caused no end of bother until I realised what I had done.

Hope you get it sorted soon I bet its hot out there.
