Tourance or Tourance EXP ?

My Sirac are nearing the end of their life (after nearly 14 000km).

I've been recommended the Tourance EXP (more road biased version)

Any one has heard about them or even tested them ?

I'm temnpted to fit them for the winter and go back to Sirac or Tourance for Spring.

I've not taken the Tenere off road yet and it's very unlikely that it will happen during winter

I used quite a few pairs of Tourances on my GS that I had. They are fine and grip quite well but the noise on corners was loud and annoying. I then turned to Conti Trail Attacks which gripped better and the ride was smoother but as good on fire trails. The tread in very deap on the original tourance so lasted ages if you can out up with the noise and ride.

The Siracs I have are quite good I think and quieter!

Looking at the pictures of the tyres you have in mind i think i would opt for the Sirac's for winter use. They look to have the most open tread for good water clearance and having a more open tread they should heat up quicker in the cold weather too.

Plus, you already know what they are like and how hard you can push them, something you would have to discover again in the cold and wet of winter if you did change to another brand.

the tourance is a softer more confidence inspireing tyre... I had some on my GS Adventure, I was told the EXP are the same with less tred for off road.

I do prefer the Siracs over the Tourances in wet weather. They just give me a much better feeling. And they do warm up very quickly.

Hi, I switched to tourances this summer. When I bought the xt in March it had Siracs fitted. I,ve found the Tourances to be quite good, plenty of grip in the dry, more than the Siracs and pretty good in the wet. Not sure about off road I don't go there.
