How to soften and further waterproof new boots
Got a new pair of leather boots with a waterproof inner liner.
Any ideas on how to soften them and give a further waterproof base on the leather? Dubbin springs to mind but seems a bit old fashioned for modern boots. |

Your spot on mate, thats all you can really do to leather, that or expensive leather feeds etc but most of those dont really waterproof them and also most boots now are a compo of leather and lecria.
As long as your not making holes in your boots like i am.

The lining is behind the leather which itself is not known for being waterproof. MY TXC Infinity boots are still doing fine after nearly 19k miles and 10 months of ownership and i've done nothing to them but then not all boots are up to their standard. |

wear the boots in the shower then dry them out then cover them in NIKWAX just like dubbin but wont rot the stitching when wet.
or pee on them but prefably not after a heavy sess the night before
