            Spare inner tube

I remember reading here that there was a certain size inner tube that can be used in the front or rear, albeit for a short distance, when in an emergency. Can't remember if that is valid for the X & the R, and I can't for the life of me find the fapping thread!
Preparing for a trip now, I've got a spare Metzeler, which was used in the rear, with the following text on the tyre... 4.50, 5.10, 130/70, 120/80, 130/80, 110/90, 120/90 - 17 Also, ME-F17M/C(B) Can this be used for front & rear, if not, what size inner tyre can be used for both on an XTX? Cheers peeps

A front inner tube (21") can be used in the rear as a 'get me out of trouble' option, but not the other way round.

I've got the X version, both rims are 17" (120/70 front, 160/60 rear). Would it be ok to use the spare tyre mentioned above in front & rear?
             Thanks

Get a tube for the front wheel (17" 120/70), you could use it on the rear wheel too. have fun, j. |

a 17" front tube will work at the 17" rear wheel, but not the way around. in short, carry a 17" front tube.
