Raised Seat

Does anyone know if there are any raised seats available for the XTR?

Not that im awear of but the XTR's seat is pretty easy to modify as there are a few people on here who have cut and stuck pads/extra foam in position.

or your other option would be if its comfort an air hawk/gel pad that sits on the seat and you just remove it each time you walk away from the bike.

Fit XTX rear links, that will lift the rear by 25mm. Add my front fork spacer mod & it will raise the front by 25mm.

Kev, I was thinking about raising the bike just a little (XTR too)

But, not really understanding the front fork spacers, wouldn't they also make the front forks stiffer? Or could I adjust/mod them to get them around the same softness as before?

Do the spacers just take out the sag?

Ooo the links are coming home.

They cost OZ $16.50 to send there a few years back.

I'll swing by the post office tmrw to check delivery prices. Just checked online and I think it's about the same as what Kev paid? Let me know how much you're willing to spend on postage and I'll post them straight away if they're in your budget, that'll save me another trip. PM your address, we can sort out payment details later.

Paypal's good, only thing is that I've only ever made payment through paypal. How would I receive money as it's linked to my credit card. If it stays as credit in my account that's ok.

Denny

The links made it home Kev. Well travelled. Will fit in a couple of weeks time.

I'll grab some of those fork spacers off you soon. Probably just pick them up one day save you posting.

What do you recomend for shifting the chain roller? And any idea by how far I should shift it?

Thinking of bolting an extention plate to the existing bracket. seems like the simple option.

The front fork spacers would make the forks slightly stiffer and take out a bit of the sag. But if your raising the rear end it put more pressure on the front so the forks dont really work the same and feel a bit softer if you no what i mean. So the spacer just try and put everything back into balance.

You can also use the spacers with out the rear raised as some people find the fronts on the XT's set just a little too soft for road type riding or even off road
