Tenere Rack

I've had a number of rear racks of my own design produced to fit the Ten, see the pic below.

The rack is CNC machined from 4mm 5251 grade aluminium, anodised silver.
The 4 standoff posts are turned from 1050 grade ally.
Bolts nuts & washers are zinc plated steel.

I had 10 made, of which five are still available, price is 43, plus postage. Depending on demand future batches will be larger.

more pics will follow when i've had a chance to take them in daylight.

please PM me if you are interested.

MODS - if i've done wrong by posting this here, please move.

That is a damn fine looking rack.
Too late for me unfortunately I bought a givi one for my top box.

Are you planning on an engine or rectifier guard?
Or even something to tidy the rear end up using existing bolt holes and indicators?

Looks very good and I'm tempted but I'm wondering what a black anodised one will look like on the bike. There are a few black anodised fangles at www.ruggedroads.com if you look under KTM 950 stuff. No Yamaha gear there yet and your price is good so you could get some good business here. All the best.

i seriously considered black, but those i asked preferred silver. if there is enough interest i could consider splitting the next batch into the two colours.

anyone else for black?

That's a nice piece of engineering there - So why, when you can do it for a modest sum, do MM and TT charge much higher prices? and they have the benefit of economies of scale.

I purchased a 1200GS rack (a TT one) from fleabagbay (25), and manufactured a mounting from nylon block so that the rack sits in the same mounting points as the Yam top box. Give me the benefit of removing it and putting the box on - takes 2 minutes to swap.

I've also just completed a prototype for lamp mounts that bolt to the same fixing as the front subframe (headlight etc). I'll throw some pics up when it's fitted (waiting for a M8x60 SS bolt to arrive!)

TT do two versions,50 for a small and 57 for a large so they are'nt that expensive and as i live quite close it would work out roughly the same as i dont have to pay p&p with the tt stuff
