XTZ fails to start

Grateful for any ideas on this. My bike is a 2011 XTZ Ten and was bought new in 2013. 6K miles and very well looked after. Power-commander fitted.
Yesterday I fitted a new 12v socket with fuse, the Battery was disconnected twice in a couple of minutes while this was done.
Bike will not now fire up, Cranks strongly, goes through the start up cycle as normal, all lights show but never fires.
Thinking I'd upset the immobiliser I switched keys and tried the Red key, still does not fire.
I've checked the 2x30 amp fuses and all fuses in the fuse box, all good. I did not short anything during the work.
Any ideas on where best to start? What would get upset by twice being disconnected in a short space of time?
