I also ordered some other parts and I'm waiting for them. I'll be back with pics soon.

Well, the reason they didn't had it on stock might have been I bought the last set if you're talking about Dementor :P... 1 week ain't that bad either. I had to wait 3 wks for a central stand from Yamaha

Yeah from Dementor...
It's crazy that you waited 3 wks for the center stand since I ordered the clutch lever holder which I broke (I have strong hands and that costed me 20 freakin euros for a piece of alu) and it arrived in 1 week. Have you ordered yours from Dual tours or from Yamaha dealership?
Btw. can I take a look at your stand and take some measures since I want to have one made? I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers,

Next Mod: Puig Wind shield. Nice mod since with the OEM one I was getting some strong buffets (I'm 1,85m tall). The puig ws is about 8cm taller than the OEM one and it comes in different colours. I bought mine light smoke cause I thought that the dark smoke one is to dark for night driving. Here's the link with the seller from ebay (fast dispatch, UPS shipping). I also changed the stupid OEM plastic screws with some allen black metal ones bought from local store. Is really stupid to fit plastic head screws to the ws as every time I wash the bike the ws has to come off to proper clean the area.

Next Mod: AIS blocked. I used a plastic dowel pin (not sure if it's the right translation since I used google translate on that) and a screw fitted from inside the airbox. Job done stops the popping (not completely since I fitted the Leo cans).

Next Mod: Leo Vince SBK GP-Style
Finally after getting the second can I went to a really nice guy who fitted them to my Tenere. He used 50mm ss for the "Y" connection pipe and also manufactured a new bracket, also ss. I love the job and the cans. They are on the loud side with baffles on and without them ... are mental. I think it has to do with the volume of the cans which is a lot smaller than the original leo ovals.

Sorry to say this, but this is a very bad idea!!

That stupid OEM plastic screews are designed to broke in case of having a fall. If you put the metal ones and you suffer a fall, probably you will broke all the front part.

On the other hand I love all your other mods

This is a good point, and I know at least one member on here did have that happen - fortunately like you say, the plastic screws are sacrificial and there is no serious damage to either part...

That said, my own screen is held on with Dzus fasteners, and my bike hit the deck many times on the way to Dakar (and in the US with the stock screws) and it was never an issue... maybe I was just lucky?!

here, have a photo or two!

I must say you got a point there. Live and learn.... some say. But as JMo described is a matter of luck
