Touratech / Exhaust hole

Trying for 2 birds with one stone here.

Firstly, has anyone tried Touratech products on an XTX?
http://www.touratech.de/Shop_uk/en-us/dept_524.html

I know they had a strong following with BMW owners, not sure if they're worth the delivery wait for Yamaha add-ons?

Secondly, what's the small hole for that's drilled on the underside of each OEM end can, just by the small triangular heat shield? Seems strange to have exhaust gases "leaking" on purpose - noise / emissions regs maybe?

Thanks!

Fatty

Not sure about Touratech products , as for the hole could it be for venting moisture in the pipes ??????

Guess so - seems too neat to be unintentional and that would make sense. Just curious!

Thanks!

Touratech as a company has a very high reputation, if its good for Charlie Boorman and Ewan McGregor it has to be good. They are nonetheless the market leader in aftermarket parts for off road / touring and paris-dakar rallies.

Smile Touratech Products

I have fitted the large touratech sumpguard & the rear small sports rack.
These parts are listed in the touratech catalogue for the XT660R trail bike
but fitted my X model no problem.Fitting of both items was quick and easy.
All mounting bolts were supplied and simple instructions.
The sump guard took 6 weeks to arrive but is far stronger and stylish than the official Yamaha guard. The rack came in a week.
Touratech would be my first choice for any future add ons. Some parts may look a bit pricey, but the quality and fit is exellent.
