HELP! Mounting a long wind deflector - HOW?

1) Yes take the small one off ,the larger one replaces it completely

2) The rubber washers are so when you screw the screen on ,the wellnut compresses and pulls into the screen and and they stop it pulling all the way through

Have a go you will be suprised how easy it is

Hi jasext,The washers are not rubber they are steel,I hope you mean that the rubber around the wellnut will expand and pull these steel washers in.
Your help is much appreciated.

You have to attach the brackets first. To do that you have to remove the bolts at the top of the forks around the handlebars (can't remeber exactly which without seeing), there should be instructions provided.

Okay,Thanks to everybody who replied you have all made this more understandable to dopey old me.I will let you know how I go and post some pics after completed.I have also added a ventura rack with a coulple of 51 litre bags for touring,grocery shopping etc.Once again thankyou.
