What size axle

Got a punture so soon...Went to remove front wheel and havent got anything that fits the front axle.. seems I need a large allen key.. any one know its size so I can go an get one tomoz

It's 14mm.

Best option I have found is a 14mm Drain Plug Socket, fits on a 3/8 socket wrench.

Draper P/N is 38327

Cheers for the pronto reply, just glad it never happened out on the road theres nothing in the tool kit to get the wheel off and I hadnt looked at it until today

I agree with Nick... while you're at it, get a 22mm socket for the rear axle too - you can also get a short 3/8th drive socket bar that will just fit in the space for the tool kit on the Tenere, although ideally you'll want an extension too or la onger bar, as those wheel nuts do up pretty damn tight!

Good idea, will do. Got the drain plug and got wheel off. Will get a 3/8th bar now and rear wheel socket, top ideas

I have a 165mm 3/8 sliding Tee bar and a piece of steel tube probably about 180mm, I managed to undo the rear axle nut which is torqued to 110Nm, so if I can undo that then i should be safe for anything else.

Also picked up a Kriega Tool Roll today, very nice piece of kit...
