Well I found corrosion on my engine case near the oil fillter housing on my XTX at Christmas and I was not happy, so I had a ride over to
Webbs Yamaha in between xmas and new year and got it looked at, the service manager told me that Yam U.K. are closed till 5th Jan. Ive just had a phone call from Webbs this morning to say that my new casings are in and can I book the bike in when its best for me and they will get the job done for me
I had no hastle with Webbs so im very pleased with the out come !

Any pics mate so i can take a look at mine, as its been in the garage for 3+ months now and not moved. Would be useful to get a feel for what issues you have been experiencing.

Its a bit hard to see but the paint just fell off its under the bolt in the midle of the pic.

ha, still looks like you have all your paint on your engine there you should see mine after 2 or so winter years of riding the under side of the engine is just metal (bashplate covers most so cant be seen) and there are a few other suspect areas as well on the sides/top.

could be worse, but still could be better.

Mines just been through the winter and only missed 1 week due to the snow, it looks like new....;-)



To be fair, I did cover it all in grease in November and after some washing it came of well.
