I was surprised that Touratech did not add a r ear calliper guard to their items. Does anyone know of one or have an opinion if we need one for some offroading.

If you are stuck in a muddy rut, chances are a root might sheer off the whole thing so yeah I would advise you to get one.

Speak to Throrsten at Off The Road

The rear caliper mount is the same as the one on a TTR600RE. It even has the same threaded holes to take the guard off the TTR. There is a slight problem in that the Banjo is different on the Ten but have one to fix and will post pics in the Mods section later today. Hope this helps.
