High Fender

A mix of mud and stones are somtimes making a lot of noise on the origanal tenere fender.
I was thinking of adding a high fender to my Tenere.

I like this one, but in white colour. Its a bit shorter than the usual crossfender. (I dont want to take off :-))

I have measured the holes in the bottom yoke of the triple clamp. The hole centres match the same as a WR/YZF moto-x/enduro bike.
So I reckon that a pre-drilled mudguard from the like of UFO or Acerbis will fit.
The only short fall will be the back part of the mudguard will be hitting the radiator grill. I think I will cut the read of the mudguard away......

Ok, here is my high fender try out. Its actualy a Supermotard fender. I just drilled four holes in it.
It takes 10 minutes to switch the fenders. Low fender is better for allday use (riding in rain)
I kept the Yamaha towing-ring
But maybe it would look better in white?
Whats your opinion?

Looking good, but yes should be white. Have you tested any water crossing and if it splash less up the gap behind the cockpit?

Actually that doesn't look so bad afterall (although I agree it should be colour matched)... I have a black Pollisport KTM supermoto front mudguard kicking around, I might give that a go...

I ordered an OTR white high fender.
It's on his way right now. I'll post some pictures next week, when I've installed it. I also ordered a Metal mule radiator protection to replace the plastic one.
Because I like the gravel roads here... And in combination with my next tyres; the TKC 80...

I will replace the original fender before "planned" off-road trips by the high fender and maybe during rainy days by the original for every day work-home use.
Keeps me also some time busy and away from pubs and girly tv-shows... ; )

Really like the high fender, but dont like the lack of protection to the rear, all that mud coating the radiator, one stone chucked up there...

Does anyone have a longer sharper back to the fender, kind of like the XT660X where its high at the front but has a sort of hugger at the back, only make it slightly higher, and then possibly black with a white front.

Definitely on my list of needs, but colour coded
