helemt for xt660 R

Hello,

soon i'll have a xt660R and i'm interested in buying equipment.
I have problems in choosing it, especially the helemt. What's the best choice a fullface helemt (rx7) or an offroad one (arai vx pro 3). I'm a beginner so i don't know what's like. I'll be using the bike in the city and offroad (forester roads), trips less than 300km and speed under 120km/h. I think i want the vx pro 3 but i dont know if is good for the city.
About the tour x2 model i don't know is neither full neithel offroad.
I saw that on the yamaha's site the pilot on the xt660r is wearing a offroad helmet, but i want to know the opinion of the xt660r comunity.
So, the xt660 R owners are pleased to tell what they have choosed or what do you recommend.

thanks

Hi ive got an XTX so I dont off road it but I have a Tour X lid cos it suits the look of the bike its a full face moto X style lid with a visor its an ok lid as far as im conserned but you do get a bit of wind noise from it! Mostly I ride up to about 85 to 90 mph ok though.

I would love to get an MX style helmet so i can look the part on my XTR but just cant afford to get a new helmet at the moment. Ive got an Arai Condor and its does the job fine. I dont think it really matter what helmet you where as long as it fits, its comfy and will protect you if you take a fall (hope this never happens to anyone)

thanks for reply
i'm using a Shark s 500. I have tested a Lazer but i took the Shark for fit
I couldnt find an Airoh to see how it fits, i needed a helmet so i took the Shark. I know is not a good option but the next helmet will be probably Airoh S4.

I have a Lazer Fiber Pro - Nice and light 1450g and fits me perfectly. But I wish I had a peak to shade the eyes from the sun, which this helmet does not have.

Just my thoughts.

Get one from a reputable company which fits your head PERFECTLY. I use a Tour X, only cos I think it looks the business.
