I feel for you man, but this is not something that Yamaha alone does, most bike manufacturers tend to delay their new lines.
I have wrote it in a thread that I did speak to the Head of Marketing at Yamaha only 3 weeks ago and I was told that the first limited batch is probably going to be available in mid may (and all of them are spoken for already) but the full wide distribution will not be until mid June. I think these Praise and Shame threads are really meant for service received by third parties such as suppliers of aftermarket parts and mechanics, dealerships, online vendors etc etc. I am sure Yamaha will be wanting to ship these bikes as soon as they can themselves however it must not be easy to get ready with the production of a new line of bikes which requires new part suppliers of frames / forks / engines / and so forth. |

I had the same problem with them as well. I bught my xt last oct I think, then someone nicked it in Jan (*@)%in *******s) So this year in abt march I ordered a 2009 model then they said they not going to ship one for me especially if they still have some model left from 2008. Which is quite unfair when you standing threre with the cash they should get you what you want. I know the only diff is between the two is the stickers but still. Sooo I didnt wantet to wait, so I got me a 2008 one in full black with 09 number plate!!?? grrrhhh
