What Handguards for a XT660X?

What handguards fit the best on a XT660X?
I see yamaha have their own ones for 63 which i believe are made by Acerbis, are there Acerbis own versions which fit the XT660X just as well?

Regards,

Kieran

the thread says it all, get the genuine ones, cost more but 100% worth it for all sorts of reasons.

I've just ordered the genuine yamaha ones, with the wind spoilers for 74 from CMC in Cannock. Took around 4 days to come into stock, they arrived today and I've not had a chance to fit them yet, but they look good. I think that price is around the going rate.

I bought some UFO handguards which do their job I guess. I had to cut a bit where the brake fluid thingy is for it to sit flush. Hindsight says buy genuine

I had a lovely pair of UFO ones before getting the original Yamaha / Acerbis, they were made out of hard plastic with a very nice carbon look but... they didn't have a metal spine like the Yamaha ones have and unfortunately they were no match for the transit vans mirrors in the traffic so I snapped both of them within a couple of months

The original Yamaha instead are knackering vans mirror like nobody's business and they have more than revenged the demise of my pretty UFO's that fought and died in the traffic.

Just a quick tip when screwing the wind deflectors on.

I used a small drill to make a pilot hole. Keep your finger on the outside of the wind deflectors and feel for the screw coming through. If you tighten the screws too much they will come through the other side as the screws should really be half a millimeter shorter really.
