I hope someone will know how to help with this one.

I have a 2009 XT660Z Tenere, with just over 25K on the clock. A recent purchase.

Occasionally while riding, the revs will suddenly drop right back to idle. If I pull the clutch in they jump right back up. I've only notice this happen at over 4K rpm

Its particularly noticeable at at around 4.5k rpm in 3rd gear (30mph ish). I can get around it by going around town in 4th gear, but then I sit at just over 2k rpm, which requires constant covering of the clutch.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

What does it idle at?..1500 rpm is the forums fave...are you able to look up the various threads etc ?..
Does it happen on any lock of the bars?..the clutch is adjusted ok?..and free/lubed?..
