R+G Heated grips review

My daughter bought me some heated grips for as an early Christmas present. I have been thinking about getting some for years tbh. Then when they came up on M+P's sale at 29.99 I thought it would be rude not to get some.

Fitting was eventually straight forward, after the major boob with superglue.

First time use today and I gotta say Im impressed. Apart from having the habit of riding with two fingers covering the brake and clutch levers my hands were toasty. The two fingers on each hand did get cold but then again I am using 16 year old gloves. So maybe new technology gloves would be another addition to the gift list.Any recommendations?

I also have some heated insoles to sort. These were bought from Maplins a few years ago and have sat on the shelf...until now..

Sounds like a good result....I'm the same re fingers covering the levers! Barry Sheene ( showing my age!) said he could never break the habit of covering the clutch with two fingers after many a 2stroke racer seizing up on him. I'll check out what make of glove mine are as they are excellent....after my ancient threadbare old gloves it was a revelation! Steve

The wife loves her R+Gs, especially with her Keis heated gloves and Keis heated jacket. A cold day here is 13 degrees and she 'feels' it. I've recently gone the other way though. I have some, unbranded on/off heated grips which work great, but have been using my new RST Adventure Pro series 3 suit. It's super toasty and I haven't needed my Gerbing heated gloves or jacket. I've even sold my Rukka stuff because the RST is way more comfortable and versatile.
