Want a laugh?

My new R+G grips arrived today..looked on youtube and thought ..rite I'll give it a go..
Throttle grip went on fine after I'd removed a bit of the grip itself to stop it binding. Superglue applied and the grip slipped nicely into place. I had a little bit of time to adjust the postion and filled with confidence did the same on the other side...
Only this time it stuck fast,in the wrong position,immediatly..
I made the mistaken assumption that id have some adjustment time like the throttle. Superglue on metal grabs a damn site faster than it does on plastic

So there you go. Im now stuck trying to work out how to get the half installed grip off..hmmm

Way too spooky. Had the exact same problem last month on the wife's Fazer. (R+G) Had to cut it off and buy a new left grip only from ebay 22. Remedy - Superglue the last inch of the bar on the metal nearest the switch block and then put superglue inside the grip in the last inch of the grip tube (nearest the bar weight end).

Also, when the new grip was put on it stayed on full heat blast, so I thought I'd buggd it again somehow but it turned out to be a fault with the controller (put it on an oscilloscope) . A new controller arrived the following week after a warranty claim.

It's off and in satisfying pieces on the floor..gotta clean up the bar and speak to R+G themselves in the morning.
They were 30 delivered in an M+P sale so if it comes to it I'll buy another set..at least I'll have spares..he says trying to put a brave face on it..lol

Smile

So...I phoned R+G who said phone M+P.
M+P said they would need to have the items returned so they could be sent to R+G.
I then phoned R+G who are agreed to send out a replacement foc in the first class post today.

Less than 5 minutes on the phone=RESULT!!
