Newbie with starting issue please help

Iam a newbie to the site so let me introduce myself first . I bo7ght an xt660x 2 days ago and the bike as failed it just wont go no spark no nothing other than dash its as if the immobilizer is stuck on . When i bought the bike it rode great come home went back out no problems at all and now its just not doing anything other than turning over and not firing up i literatly left the bike in the garage over night come back and the problem .

I have searched all wires checked battery check for spark nothing just no spark at all

The thing is when i use the keya and the red key the immobilizer light just flashes on and off and doesnt dissapear so thats what makes me think its that ...

I am debating on trying to source all the immibilizer and take it off ???? Is this possible by just removing the wiring and unit or is there something esle i need to do ????

Sellers shut it was a garage but closed over weekend . The bike ran fine its not my first bike so i no when an engine sounds rough etc . I went the garage filling up and turned it on and off numerous times all fine left it in garage over night and now it just wont run . Its like it just doesnt acknowdlege the keys are there so the red immobiliser light stays flashing . I hsve red key and black key and both keys stay like this with flashing light .ive tried diag mode wont come up and i have tried registering the keys with no change ... the only thing i can think of its not reading the keys or the immobiliser is broke and packed in

IMHO you should make contact with the shop who sold it to you, first thing Monday morning. It's not your problem to solve...unless you bought it as a 'trade' sale you have a gaurentee/legal rights.

AND if you dont mind some advice..you have posted the same question,3 times across the forum.

Whilst I appreciate your frustrated you WILL get an answer, sometimes it takes a while but you WILL get an answer.

I hear your frustration..and I do hope that once you've taken it back to the shop/garage that they sort it out for you.
Where was it bought from?..

My friend. First of all thank you for joining the forum and thank you for joining the XT Supporters. Please note you've just joined so now you know you're in good hands and you need to RELAX! Give me a chance to get Kev to be of your assistance, he lives in Australia and works his ass off in the week so on weekends we all tend to rest. Don't go all gun-oh expecting an immediate reply on a Sunday.

I'll get Kev to look at your problem in due course and when he's available.

But first thing on Monday morning you need to go down to that dealer and get them to address the issue they have caused you if no joy then Kev will look at it from elimination with you on a one to one basis in private since you are now a subscriber you can get that level of assistance.

Just a bit of understanding from my side. I work 6 days a week most days more than 12 hrs a day, I volunteer my services to this forum for free & at the end when this forum closes would have done so for the past 15 years + I live in a completely different time zone to most, I can get up to 40 requests a day for help I reply to every one most days but some take 2 days.

It was bought from a place called berties near were i live he sells bikes and bits like a breakers . Never had an issue with amything from there before and hes always been an ok chap . The bike was brought in by a guy with medical issues so cant ride anymore . Its been looked after really its got full service history loads of reciepts for service and work done new chains sprockets tyres oils filter clearance checks etc and only as 22,000 on it so didnt think it was that bad in miles for the 660 as i have the yamaha 5 vlave 660 baghira and that goes forever . Dont think hes tryed ripping me off or anything just think its got a fault in the immobiliser myself so i personally think taking it off will help just dont no how to do it . If i could take it off and have the bike start that would be great i could just put another switch between live feed or on the wire to coils .

Did think maybe thats what it might be a second switch somewhere what some as placed in but woyld make sense with me turning off and on a few times before .

The only thing i can think is some how the sensor is broke or thr batterys in the keys have run out but defiently think its the immobiliser due to the immobiliser light flashing all time ajd never going off its like its just activated all time ...hence me wanting to find a way to take it off and have it run .. even if i dont keep it off and i can just see if thats what it is before going out and spending a fortune at the stealers i mean dealers ....
