Back to Stock
Hi Guys and Gals, I have recently got hold of a 64 plate 660X which I love, however it has lowering links fitted. I am 5'9" with a 32" inside leg. My question is would it be advantageous to remove the link, also the bike feels a bit restrictive. How would I find out if it has a restrictor fitted?
Thanks in anticipation Kev |

Welcome to the world of XT660.com.
http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=23128 Here's the link to the restrictor removal so it should give you the heads up..either way. In 6'2" with a 34" inside leg.. I have just used stock x dogbones/links to raise the rear end of my R. If your finding the current links to low, source some stock ones off ebay. Easy change and cheap enough to do. If you join the forum, you not only get access to the vast wealth of experience and knowledge you also help to keep the forum running. Last edited by nikroc; 29-04-18 at 21:43. |

Thanks for the reply nicroc, really appreciate the help. I will have a good look around. Sorry to be a pain, but have you any idea where I will find local owners who go for a ride?

Im sure the more you post and you get to know the forum/members that you will find anything and everything you will ever need.
As for 'local' members...post up a 'request' and see what happens.. |

Will do mate, also when increasing revs the the bike seems to choke and loose power, don't think this is normal but never had a single before. My bike has a set of Leo Vance cans fitted my feeling is the mapping isn't correct.
Has anyone any ideas? |
