front fork seal

I have an XTX with slightly over 6000km that just sprang a leak on the seal of the right-hand fork.
Queried the dealership and have been advised it is NOT covered by warranty; it does state so in the waaranty booklet.
6000km, new fork seal !!! Has anyone had the same problem ?
