Thought I'd share this if, like me, you have the signs of a broken clutch switch.
The symptoms were; whilst out on the trails I switched off, parked up in 1st gear to stop it rolling downhill then got back on, switched on, pulled the clutch in and nothing. It only started when it was put in neutral.
Got back home and removed the clutch switch (under the clutch lever pivot) and bench tested it and it was perfect. Using my trusty probe, the loom became suspiciously guilty.
After removing the 4 thousand bolts to get the tank off (Z) it would have been a case of just looking for damage and pierce-probing along the faulty wire until I got a signal but the damage was obvious. There was a distinct pinch/crush mark on the plastic sheath near the headstock. Cutting it open revealed a split cable that distinctly looked pinched .
All soldered up and sorted.
