I ride an R and use an ebay item. You have to mod it BUT they work and imho look good.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-MOTOR...0AAOSwP4FaQhV~ There's more expensive ,I know I bought one BUT they are exactly the same.Cheaper one's too.
Top Tip: use threadlock on the lIght/lense bolts and nuts. Last edited by nikroc; 06-03-18 at 11:23. |

tail tidy
I have now busted two of the large standard indicators on my XT660X by knocking them with either my leg or gatepost!! I am looking for a sleeker, streamlined total rear end solution. This suggestion looks ok, but do you have a picture of it completed, so that we can see how it should look. I can't imagine how it will fit, keeping the Number plate attached?!
What skill level could attempt such a refit? I am 1 small step up from novice!! Last edited by Bluegull; 06-03-18 at 16:57. Reason: adding more text |

I fitted two of these and as long as you don't mind cutting the original off i'm sure you'll be fine.
Both ones fitted also had a smaller number plate and led indicators, again all off ebay. The hardest part was cutting the tail tidy.. as its originally almost horizontal I cut a small V in the sides and bent it to the required angle of choice after Id warmed it up with a heat gun. Easy enough. I filled the gap with a chemical metal filler BUT could have used two pack quick dry glue. Once dry I sanded it smooth and sprayed it black. Pictures on here somewhere. HTH. |

That looks pretty good! I've bit the bullet and ordered one.
Thanks for the advice. |
