Looking for a portable security chain that I can stow on the bike XTX) and fit when parked up down the shops or race meetings etc. I don't fancy a heavy chain in my rucksack so I am wondering what you guys use and how you carry it when riding.....

I can not remember 100% but isn�t there room for a D lock under the seat

Not sure if this idea is any good to you but my D-shackle goes under the rack. I raised the rack on aluminium pillars (tubing), inside which bolts pass from the top box, or rack surface, and fasten under the Yamaha tail plate.

The aluminium tube is from B+Q or any hardware store and is approx 8mm outside diameter and 6mm inside. The bolts I used were stainless M6 x 80mm and cut to length so the D-lock slid snugly under the rack.

Thats a neat solution! Unfortunately I don't have a rack on mine but its on the list of possibilities and I might pinch your idea if I get one.

hope it works out for you.......I pinched the idea off a mountain bike rider, off all things.
