Does anyone do pattern plastics for the XTX?
Hi All,
I love black bikes, with no graphics etc. So thought i'd swap the blue panles for soem black ones easily enough, but didnt relaise Yamaha charged so much for the panels. On MTMs etc you can get pattern panels but my searches forafter market panels for my XTX are proving fruitless. Does anyone else make anels for these? If not I guess I'll have to consider if my black bike fetish is worth the price tag! |

Why not wrap or have your panels dipped, far cheaper than new at Yamaha prices.

Went the same route and had the same problem
,you just have to trawl eBay and wait for panels to turn up,im Not even sure what I have tucked away because in the end went the carbon fibre route but even then couldnt get the rad panels which I had in black.

Been looking into that and have contacted a local firm to see if they wrap bike panels. I'll have to see if anyone does dipping round here (Essex) |

Any company that wraps cars or vans will do your bike. I had a Honda CRM. Done about 6 years ago got the tank, two side panels and front fender and the small front cowl cost me 110. I would have thought you could get the hole xt660 done for under 200 if just going black would hope around 150 . Also you can get the panels dipped I knew a lad that had his gsxr750 panels carbon dipped. Looked good as it go’s

Nitromoz, dipping was described to me as putting the panel into a bath of liquid with a skin on it, the skin is the colour of the finished panel, a small electrical current is also involved I believe!! Supposedly longer lasting than wrapping as that is more UV sensitive.
