Pirelli Scorpion Trail II

G'day all

A couple of months ago in mid May I did a Sand riding course...

The week before the course I fitted a new set of Michelin T63's...

Unfortunately about 50kms into the day I had an off.. which wasn't so bad but the BMW1250 riding to close behind me slammed into me. Resulting in two days in hospital and surgery on my hand that was busted in the process..

I finally got back on the bike about 2-3 weeks ago but decided that I might park the off road riding for a year or so (still have one more surgery).

Seeing that the T63's are practically brand new - I decided to fit a set of Pirelli Scorpion Trail II's to the XTR. Even though the T63s handle the bitumen superbly - I figured I'll keep them and fit some more road biased tyres for the time being.

I ended up getting a 90/90/21 for the front and after some deliberation went for a 150/70/17 for the rear (standard is 130/80)

Just think the 150 fills it out a bit more and the tyres are only a whisker apart in circumference.

Anyway - its still early days but so far the Scorpions are performing nicely and are a lot quieter then the knobbys.

Cheers all

Marc
