Handlebar weights or no weights?
I'd like to add handguards to my XTX. With the Yamaha original handguards you can keep the handlebar weights but are expensive. The Acerbis are cheaper but you have to remove the weights in order to fit them.
Has anyone removed the weights to fit handguards? How does it feel without the weights? |

I had the same questions..I took mine off and fitted some ebay specials..tried Acerbis ones too(I had some new ones but didnt like the colour)..
I filled the bars with silicon and whilst I do notice some vibes its not to bad. |

Barkbuster hand guards come with a small weight for the Tenere with an additional external weight as an accessory. If you have standard bars they may well fit your bike.

I fitted barkbusters and noticed increased vibes a set of handle bar weights that fit over the bar end will dampen them down again.

Thanks for your answers. From what you are saying I understand that the weights are good to have. i'll keep my eyes pealed for a good deal of the Yamaha handguards.
