Old inner tube

Anyone got an old inner tube lying around? I'm replacing the tyres and I'm going to replace the cush drives and do the tube trick but my tubes are grand and don't need replaced.
Cheers

When you get your tyres done why not ask the fitter if they have any old ones left lying around?...or go buy a bicycle one if you cant get one.

Fitter doesn't seem to get a lot of tube jobs but the bicycle tube is a good shout

Use MTB tubes as they are thicker, road bike tubes are a bit thin and don't work as well, your local bike shop will have old ones lying around you should get for free

I always fit new inner tubes when I replace my tyres just for piece of mind. For what they cost its a no brainer. Hence I have a few spare inner tubes. I'll bring them to the ANNUAL RALLY

I was going to replace it as you for peace of mind, thats why I changed the bearings, but the shop said it was grand. I'll just go get a new mtb one for a couple of pennies and that'll sort it. Cheers

I heard it is not wise to use bicycle tubes to pack the cush drive as they may melt. Any bike or car tyre fitting place will have inner tubes they are throwing away and will likely give you for free.

Interesting, wouldn't have thought there was that much heat going through there. I've got a mtb one and I'll keep an eye on it and see how it holds up
