My thoughts so far..

Well, very enjoyable to ride, handles great ( I need to adjust the rear shock and do the fork spacer thing too, too many pies an pizzas.. ) and I can punt it quicker through the twisties than my other bikes, took out the funnel thing in the airbox, and changed out the mingin dirty std airfilter for a new Yamaha one and also chucked a new spark plug in for good measure.. ( crikey, some people are a bit lacking with the maintenance thing huh.. )

Ordered some gen yamaha hub rubbers which arrived yesterday( $49aud, not too bad i thought ? ) I'll chuck those in when i get a new rear tyre next week.. Also ordered a set of the better rubbers from Andy in Seeth Ufrika, I had already ordered the yamaha ones but figure a spare set won't be a bad thing..

Looking forward to getting the suspension a bit more used to my lardy pie infested lump so I can really get stuck into the twisties with it and I'll give Kev a yell for the fuel mod thing too..

BTW, HTF do you adjust the rear shock, there's no real room in there to get a C spanner and I nearly broke my fingers yesterday when it slipped, I couldn't even turn it enough to get to the next preload setting.. Ouch.. :-)

PS, haven't had as much fun on a bike in years..

Sound so like your enjoying it

The c spanner is a pain, you have to start it nearly touching the frame then finish it on the other side. If you slip you got skinned knuckles. Once you figure it out it's not bad. If you can get the rear off the ground with a centre stand or even at trolley jack it helps reduce the resistant

Yeah loving it, it's a blast and i reckon a "real" motard would be harder to ride, wish i had bought something like this years ago, so easy to ride and deceptively quick down the twisty roads..
I did the forks a couple of days ago and that's helped with the soggy front end, thicker oil and a spacer but i'll get new springs when i have the funds, i'll give the rear shock another try with the rear end off the ground, cheers for the tip..

Thanks
Mick
