Another water pump thread

well she's started leaking and from what I have read the pump needs a bit of an overhaul. I figure since I am doing it I might as well do the whole lot. Been looking around and seen this kit from OTR

http://www.off-the-road.de/index.php?lang=1&

any thoughts on it? I was wondering if there was anywhere in the UK that might be cheaper.

Thanks for any input

is it leaking from the gasket/mating surface?..could you not just use gasket goo as a cheap and quick repair?

If it's leaking from the bottom (the drain hole/tell-tale) then you have a mechanical seal failure. You will have to buy a complete set of seals, bearing, 'o'-rings and gaskets - basically everything that is supplied in the 50 OTR kit shown in the link mentioned earlier. There are no shortcuts. Complete replacement of these parts is the only option.

This thread covers the parts needed and what to do and this thread might be of help too.
