First ride

Love the bike.
Hate the popping all the time, owned a few 955i Tigers and this was caracter.
The Xt popping get on my nerves as it is all the time.
Apart from that I love it.

found on my bike it had previously had a scotoiler on it which they had cut a T piece into the pipe for and removed scotoiler when bike was sold and just pulled it off leaving T piece open, put new rubber pipe/tube on made big difference. Enjoy the bike,

Can this blocking mod be done with the standard exhaust?

Thanks for the replies

Yes. You will be fine.

The only thing to consider is that blocking the AIS will reduce exhaust temperatures from a cold start (where the valve is open all the time) so the catalyst doesn't get up to temperature quick enough to work properly and also unburnt fuel will (over time) potentially damage the catalyst. In other words emissions will be affected, but as they are not tested on the UK MOT, it doesn't matter. Engine performance and fuel economy will not be altered.

Also I saw a link somewhere about keeping the standard exhausts but removing the cat by cutting open, I have done a search but can't find it.
I hope it was on here.
Any help will be appreciated.

RBJ's web site and instructions are great.
