Leo Vince exhaust
(Please move this to the correct posting place thanks)
Dear XT660 lovers, I thought that I should tell you about my recent experience fitting a new exhaust to my Raptor 700 which of course uses the XT660 engine. On Flea Bay I purchased a Leo Vince aluminium can for the Raptor (it has only one rear can on the RHS of the bike) and the item was really nicely finished in a kind of "brushed" aluminium, looks great. The instructions were very simple and clear and everything I needed was included in the kit. Following the instructions was easy even for a non-mechanic like me and within about an hour I had the new can fitted to the Raptor. I took the Quad for a quick ride and then retightened all of the fittings as instructed and all was well. I then went for a proper ride and well the difference was FAR greater than anything I had expected. I knew that I had reduced the weight by 2 or 3kgs but as the bike is fairly heavy I did not think it would make a massive difference. (I also fitted a BMC air filter). Well, the exhaust has really changed the bike!. I have much more flexibility so the bike pulls great from low revs MUCH better than before. And it feels much more willing all the way through the rev range. Great product, really well made and makes the engine breathe much better oh and ps it is no louder than the original, the sound is just "fuller".
