Engine/exhaust studs

Does anyone know the dimensions of the engine/manifold studs? I'm doing my exhaust soon and wanted to be ready just incase, and I have access to buckets of assorted studs at work.

Hi Simon,

M8 x 35mm grub screws is what I use (660R). Good luck getting the old ones off.

And don't we all remember the soap opera that was you swapping exhaust systems!

I think it may be prudent to point Simon in the direction of that soap opera...

I was hoping that no one was going to bring that one up.

Cheers guys,

I've managed to get hold of some likely looking studs from work m8x28.

Hopefully I won't need them but you never know when it comes to exhaust nuts. The current nuts look like crap and are heavily corroded so I'm replacing them, unfortunately one of the headers also looks as bad, so I'm deciding if to go the full MM system or just replace the nuts and pray and pop on some new end cans.

Luckily my bike is a 2006 XTR so no sensor to worry about.
