Smile XT660R Fuel Tank removal

Hi, I need to get access to the cabling and connectors beneath the fuel tank. Does anybody know how easy it is to disconnect it? I just need to pull it back or lift it a couple of inches if this is feasible to avoid disconnecting everything.

if you undo the tank bolts you have enough room to work under it, without having to disconnect the fuel hoses.

This thread has been moved to the Service and Maintenance section as it was posted in the Newbie's Introduction area.

Do you have any idea where are the bolts and how many? I can see just one under the seat front side.

If I remember rightly two bolts by the seat end of the tank and then you pull it back from some rubber clamps at the top end and that's it.

I am looking for a pic on the service manual...

Dude you really would benefit from signing up to our XT Supporter's membership, you get the full service manual and access to the Ask Kev area for any technical tips on a one to one basis by private message

To learn more about this scheme read here: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=1475

Below are two screen shots of that service manual which is a must have

Thanks very much
I have that service manual but it is far from explaining what it is supposed to. The drawing does not show exactly how many attachments the tank has.
