I use it on my bikes including my tenere. Cleaning the bike after every rides is so easy.
Edit: And for what its worth. I dont ride my bikes everyday and when i do ride i spend hours cleaning them, my tenere is in showroom condition people often comment on how clean it is and whats my secret. The trick is not to over apply otherwise crap will end up sticking all over it and your bike will look like crap. Last edited by tougefc; 29-03-16 at 22:00. |

Great product....really is a must if you use the bike through the winter. Be warned though...if you use it generously as I did...and then panicked when I first started the bike as it looked like the bike was on fire!! Steve

hi have used it once, never again not for me (in fact i still have the tin if anyone wants it free). i keep all my bike in show room condition. so no real point in me using it ,i found out to my cost. i put it on one of my bikes and after the first ride i just wanted it off, **** was sticking to it and it just looked crap. took me about 6 hours to get it all off. I can see that if you use your bike all year round or just do not bother to keep up with the cleaning then i guess it will do its job. but for someone like me that will go out and do 250 miles, but then will do an hour to 2 hours clean when i get back then there is no point. as every bike i buy i use then sell for more than i paid for it,. as they are kept to a standard that is almost show room. if you keep your bike in top condition then i would not bother. but if your bike is a every day hack then yes i guess. just my opinion.

Generally I cover the bike, and I mean cover, at the start of winter and don't wash it, other than a hose down with cold water now and then, until the spring when I give it a good clean. It always comes up a treat, but in between times it looks like crap. Occasionally I would spray some of the Scottoil anti-corrosion stuff over the bike as sort of a top-up. I've a NC750X that I'm about to trade (dunno what for, anything that doesn't make me want to ride off a cliff maybe) and it looks like crap, the dealer asked if was ACF50'd and that increased the offer on the bike by 500 !! The NC foes look like crap, but there is a confidence that underneath it is nice and new looking. If you like your bike looking good all the time, then it's not for you. If you want your bike looking great in the spring after riding all winter then it is for you. Correctly applied it's a gift from the gods...... (if your god happens to wear a helmet, gloves and fly ridden smile ![]()

Amazing stuff,brilliant!...if used in the right way and quantity it works a treat..personally I squirt some on a blue jay cloth and rub into all nooks and crannies !..that way you don't waste too much and it works superbly!..

Cheers! And thanks for the replies guys, I took the jump and ordered a bottle of aerosol Acf-50.
The idea of shopping this miracle lub is to protect the engine just a little bit better, normally I tend to put on wax about 4 times a year. (Turtle ICE wax ) just to stop the gunk to stick to it and it will look nicer to. The idea is to obtain an even more protected area, well you know what I mean. For if I have understood correctly this you should be used only in small amounts and not be drowned out ... Then it must be wiped off the extras yes. Can you put on Wax ontop of it to get an super protection or should you not do that??? Grateful for all the answers since I have not used similar protection earlier on my XTR (2010). Just regular wash and wax. Live very close to salty seas as i am a islander. |

ACF50 is first and foremost a corrosion preventative I spray my bike all over as soon as the council start to grit the roads, crap does stick to it so it will look dirty but in spring you can wash it off and you bike will look pretty good. If you use it in summer your bike will always look dirty.
