I Slipped, Tripped and Accidentally bought a new bike

Time to fess-up..

Thanks to a new job, and a 60 mile a day commute.

I've bough a NC750X, with 1600 off the ex demo bike it was just too good a deal.

I considered a trade in of the Ten for an AT, but the financial gap is just too big, so I went for an additional bike with amazing MPG and kept the Ten.

She'll be arriving on Saturday.....

Sounds like a great way to explain a new ride to the missus, "It was an accident!!"

Yes.

Yes, thats almost how it was.

Walking pas the garage and the door fell open, the bike just started and I got knocked onto the seat. After a few miles I happened upon a Motorcycle shop, where I stopped to investigate. I was about to leave and I slipped on my coffee, tripped over a Honda Africa Twin and as I was falling my hand caught a pen and landed on an order form. The mark from the pen was the double of my signature and now I find myself owning another darned motorcycle.

Sometimes like just gives you knock after knock after knock.

I had one of the first Nc700x's when they came out....great bikes! The 750 has more power but the brakes on the earlier 700 were better.
Very economical great handling and if you can live without the bhp a truly good allrounder. I rode mine from S. France to Milton Keynes in a day, including 400 miles of minor French "D" roads, 850 miles in total.
My only critisism is the short distance between the seat and footpegs; being 6ft tall my knees suffered at times.

How are you getting on with this? Been lusting after one of these or a CB500X.
I was given a NC750S as a courtesy bike and this felt very small compared to the Ten.

Given the extra clearance and seat height I was wondering how the NCX compared?

It lasted a whole 3 months...

Not enough power for overtakes, too under powered for fast A roads. It got blown all over the place in the wind and the fuel returns weren't anything like what was quoted.

However, if the daily commute is in towns and cities than it would be a great bike, nimble and great in heavy slow traffic, but not for me.

Traded it in a year ago and bought a GS1200LC to keep the Tenere company.
