Bar bag....

Can anyone recommend a handlebar bag ... (or a tiny tank bag) that will keep a smartphone dry AND visible... or a waterproof way of mounting a smartphone. ...NOT as so many say 'water Resistant '! Thanks ,Steve

Cheers Pepsi ...I didn't know that. My phone is a Samsung note 4...it has quite a big screen so I was hoping it would serve as a Sat Nav also but obviously I need to be sure it stays dry. So do you use headphones in your lid to hear ... ? Steve

I use a Giant Loop "Zig-Zag" Handlebar bag.... easy on and off and perfect for my application...ie: lens cleaner, microfibre cloth, camera tripod and some other odds and ends.

Cheers Seahorse..that looks like a good piece of kit. By the way, as I rode through the worst fog I've ever been in with black ice everywhere early the other morning I was repeating your motto to myself .... this is an ADVENTURE.....not an ORDEAL!! Steve

Might not be relevant but I have a Fandango Pro from Giant loop as my tankbag and used to charge my phone while riding and streaming music to my Sena headset. After a few rides I noticed the phone would drop out and I would lose my music. I realised that it was due to temperature and the phone would shutdown due to overheat.
Pull it out of the clear windo and it was scorching hot...I guess the glasshouse effect in direct sunlight really creates an unhappy environment for electronics. Pitty as it was a cery convenient place to charge the phone and keep an eye on the screen during calls and playing music.

The tank bag is waterproof, so I just don't put it in the window anymore, just throw it inside and charges while riding.
Matt.
