Engine oils
Just about to buy my service items. Was wondering what oils / filters you'd all tried and whether there were any fundamental differences noted in use afterwards. Thanks for any info.

Mine's done 42,000 miles from new, all of it on Motul 5100, and with not a hint mechanical trouble. Read into that what you will...

I use very cheap oil (2,99 Euro/litre). It is motorcylce engine oil with all approvals. Performs well since 110ks on the clock.

Elf 4xt tech, 10-50, the best. Unfortunately, discontinued. Lot of engine noise, but clean engine, clear breather tube, run cooler and most important, cleanest magnetic drain plug. So far, i have tried Motul, Motorex, Silkolene, some of them half some of them full synthetic.
