Distanzia's no more?

Have been to my local bike shop today to get my Bike MOT'd and the new tyres fitted which they'd order in for me.

And I've been told that the Distanzias have been replaced by the Trial Rider. Look very similar in tread pattern and can only assume the grip is the same.

The grip is fantastic even when scrubbing them in could feel them sticking and its not particularly warm out there this evening

According to their website they are still listing both the Distanzia's and the new Trail Rider, but as you've said the new ones look pretty similar so, they might be an improvement so nothing to be moody about

The trail rider is a great tyre. 2500 miles around the poorly surfaced back roads of northern Spain...not one moment of trouble even in heavy rain. So glad to see the back of those awful original fitment tourances....scared the **** out of me in the wet.

You can still track down Distanzia's as the stock of them is run down, but I only hear good things about the Trail rider and it's wet weather grip is supposed to be phenomenal. I agree with Richlybow, ditching the Tourance was great and fitting Distanzia's transformed the stability and handling of the Ten. As far as compromising my bikes off road ability goes I can live with that when I know I can confidantly peel into a wet, busy roundabout . Steve
