XT660 cracking bike.

After 12 years of sports bikes I recently changed to an XTX. Mainly for the purpose of saving my licence and also for a change.

Went out for a blast today with my brother on his r6. He and I have been riding together for years so we always have a very good riding relationship in terms of pace and each other's skill set. Today was the first ride with him since I have had the XT. It was brilliant. I was keeping up and it felt like I was doing 150 when in reality it was 60 to 70. All twisty B roads. The bike is so comfortable and easy to go quick on. Very impressed. What a cracking bike.

That is the beauty of it - thrills and fun in a safe and license-friendly manner.

Wouldn't change mine , done about 6000 miles on it now and love it!..just dosnt stop impressing me!....torque and lots of it !..I don't ever feel the need to go over 80 anyway especially when you have little ones to think about. Tough and solid bikes aswell!..

XT660z

Hi, first time in a forum and I have to say how good it is.
Some great posts regarding alternator output amongst others.
For me (54yrs old) having ridden and still do, Aprillia, Harley, Tiger955i & GT750 the XT660 is just excellent. Started doing 4 week tours, one in Slovenia, Bosnia, Croatia. The other in Spain & Portugal last year. This year Italy, Sicily, Sardenia etc. The XT has opened up a completely new "adventurer" in me and my son. It is a relativley lighweight, robust machine, that can be fun on small twisties. Thanks to everyone already in this forum, I have gained so much info.
