Homemade comfort seat!

My economy air and water seat pad! Used for many a long ride on the XR650R. First I scrounged a zip top black nylon cover and sewed a square of non slip matting on to it...

I then sneakily relieved a family member of their hot water bottle. ..put in a small amount of water, then by folding the bottle with the lid off you control exactly how much air stays in. These bottles are tough for safety reasons, so can take you sitting on them no problem.

Good to go!! If you experiment with the amount of air/water it works really well. The sheepskin is fine on it's own for shorter journeys, and I'm sure a snazzy air hawk would be better!! Steve

Mate, while AirHawks are excellent, I've discovered over a period of about 6 of them that they are prone to fatigue punctures if you're heavy like me (rough terrain probably doesn't help...). I've tried poly and neoprene, and various air settings, with the same end result. Sure, they are repairable, and really comfy, but I reckon your solution is pure genius!
