Howdy blokes,

I always had love for a Yamaha but sadly i lost my ways and ended up with a BMW F 650 gs Dakar witch was pretty good until i had a massive accident in 2008. To cut a long story short, i work in the ag-spareparts sector and normally dont really get in contact with anything else but tractors. 2 weeks ago i heard a sound that was so perfect i instantly ran out into the street and saw a xt traveling down the road. I live in a small town so obviously the next day i saw the old bloke again and this time i stopped him. He was heaps friendly and said to me come for a beer Saturday and so i did!!! Well all i can say is, i got on the bike pressed the red button on the right and bang!!! 2 akrapovic slip-ons and power commander made the xt660x burst into life! What a great sound! I was hooked!!!

This resulted in a in the wright spot at the wright time deal. I am going down to melbourne on truck and then ride her 750km back home, i cant wait😉.

Is there anyone that can tell if i can still get a power commander for this 2005 XTX660 and how hard it is to self install?

Regarding the Power Commander, you can buy them to suit all the XT660s from 2004-2015. You may well be able to pick up an older type PCIIIusb second hand on ebay, or go for the latest PCV. They are dead easy to fit and only require a few connections to be made, all plug and play with OE type connectors.
