Rear brake disc replacement

Hi guys

I am in Malaysia - soon to enter Indonesia - and I had to change the rear brake pads again. Its the third time I had to change them on a tour from Europe to Oz and around 50 k km so far. So its really chewing rear brake pads. Anyone have an idea why? Front brake pads havent been changed at all and have still some life left.
Sadly two of these times I should have changed rear brake pads before I actually dis it as they have started to grind well into the brake disc. Basically I will need a new rear brake disc sooner or later. But here in Malaysia they dont sell the Yamaha 660 models, however they do sell a lot of other Yamaha big bikes (and smaller bikes too like 150, 250 etc)
Does anyone now if a rear brake disc from any other Yamaha model will fit a 660Z? Or are the rear brake disc only for the 660 models?

Thanks in advance guys!

Rgds from Snakeboy

I bought a cheap wave rotor for my XTR...
It has more grooves in after 1000km
that the Yamaha one at 40,000 kms...

As an aside check your rear caliper brake pins..when they get dry they can stick each time you brake i.e. the pads still stay touching ever so slightly, when you release the pedal, thus wearing more.

Should the pad pin be lubed now and then?
