hi everyone

Hello, I've followed this forum for a short while before buying my xt660x 2006 model. So far I love the bike and have covered about 450 miles in 3 days. Love it to pieces but have noticed the bad points to it already. So far I've upped the idle to 1500 ish and increased the fueling 8 points from 20 to 28 and removed the snorkel. Hope that sorts it a bit, first try tmo but already ordered a kev mod and if that works going for a stage 2 dna filter... bikes great in third and forth gear but really hard work around 30mph and at junctions/roundabouts. Stalls quiet a bit as well when filtering which is kinda embarrassing...

Not sure how to upload a pic of her though unless I'm not allowed yet....

Welcome on board mate.

Sweet looking bike you've got there.

You've got a lovely backyard to ride in too!

Have a read of this thread. It covers just about everything you can do (free and otherwise) to minimise surging and smooth out you ride.
