Greetings!

Hello, my dear fellow XT-riders!

I'm Lux from Austria, based in the midst of the southeast Alpine ranges.
It's great to have a community on this nasty little bike I fell in love with some years ago.

Mine is an '07 XT660R with quite a bit of modifications and some 54.000km on it. I bought it in 2011 with 900km on it (my predecessor had it in his garage most of the time)

So far it took me to places as far up north as Lapland in Sweden and Norway and down south to Naples and the Amalfi Coast.

Next trip for this summer would be to Ireland.

Here are some pics, would be great to hear some feedback on them

Welcome on board mate.

Nice bike, great trips you've been on and lovely photos. You seem to have put it to the use it was intended for!

Doesn't seem to be a "nasty little bike" though?

Thanks, Pleiades!

Well you're right, "lovely" would definitely be more appropriate
There's barely a day she's not in use, winter as well as summer, and i've never had any issues at all in all these years.

Although I live in the KTM-country, i really have to say:
YAMAHA, you guys did a damn good job there

And now, with the exhaust manifold in the right place and the bash plate mounted it's time for some off-road action.
Would be great to hear your expierences on loose ground.

@Pleiades or other Brits and Irish out there:

Could you give me some insider information on riding on the British Isles?
Like laws I should know, best time to travel, weather, etc.

Currently we've had more than 30C here and it's dry as hell so
the second forest fire in this month just went off today.

How about the weather in England right now?

Welcome mate.
Looks like you've got a bike that could tell some stories. Enjoy the rest of riding.
